...US Marine, married with 3 children, he is my nephew-in-law. Brad has been deploy to Iraq and/or Afghanistan three times. He has lost 8 of his fellow Marines to suicide as a result of PTSD. I was told by my niece his wife that I needed to talk to him and try to get him to sit with me. After the fifth death, he reached out. We sat in a studio for about an hour and a half talking and me photographing him, the feeling were so overwhelming for me I had to take a break from the session. He started to get help, he also started using alcohol to the point the he almost lost his family. Since we sat together I have started to video tape my sessions and his was the first one, during the filming he said that he had contemplated suicide and sought out more help and has done him wonders……
