Except when it comes to Suzy, a scud missile landing less than a block away from where she was, it also manifested her battle with PTS from childhood. As most of Servicemen and women do she suppressed it. It wasn’t until 2019 when she became aware of it when she was feeling depressed and was filling out her questionnaire and was floored. The thought of I am stronger than that kept running through her mind. Last year between her therapy and a weekend away with her husband she found her treatment, it was the smell of the pines, the sound of the wind blowing through the trees, birds singing and elk bugling, she loves them feel of a pen in her hand as she writes her thoughts and she also loves to quilt.
